The training program includes several social science disciplines: anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science / law, sociology / demography. Both are prepared in two years. The first year (Master 1) is common to both Master 2 (Research Master and Professional Master). This first year is made in partnership with two other departments of Sorbonne Nouvelle University – Paris 3: the Department of European Studies department and the Department of Anglophone World.

These Professional Master and Research Master are made of different trajectories.
The second year, which leads to obtaining a Research Master, proposes a “training to research and by research”, can be based on one disciplinary field (Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science / Law, Sociology) or be multidisciplinary. This second year takes end with the writing of a Master’s thesis in French (100-150 pages).
The second year, which leads to obtaining a Professional Master, proposes a first semester consisting of basic training common to all students, and of a specific training chosen between three options: “International economic affairs”, “Cooperation professions”, and “Environmental management”. The second semester is dedicated to an internship and takes end with the writing of a Master’s thesis in French (100 pages).
